Wibson
Communication Strategy | Public Relations | Press Relations
Wibson launched a SaaS platform in 2018 to help individuals control their data and enable companies to take their first step toward rapid compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Its intelligent system analyzes a company's website in under 5 minutes and generates a customizable cookie and privacy policy, which can be implemented with just one line of code.
The startup received funding from Newtopia, a $50M Latin American fund, and is part of PIMCity, a European Union program that supports developing future privacy platforms, as well as the Brazilian Legaltech Association.
Problem:
Position Wibson in Brazil by leveraging its strong global reputation and raising awareness about the importance of LGPD compliance, research, and innovations in the field. Additionally, they sought to recruit a country manager to lead operations in Brazil alongside the Argentine founders.
Solutions
Publishing press releases and exclusive notes about Wibson’s launch in Brazil to strategic, targeted national media outlets.
Promoting partnerships with stakeholders and influencers in the sector to amplify the company’s visibility.
Organizing relationship-building events with industry journalists to strengthen connections.
Results:
We secured 60 articles published across Brazil, both online and offline, including 7 interviews with the CEO, participation in 3 live events, and 7 YouTube influencers who demonstrated how the system worked.
We also strategically reviewed and guided the creation of all brand content for social media and Medium.
The startup's visibility in the Brazilian market grew so much that the search for a country manager turned into the acquisition of the company, now known as illow.
